Natural Wonders | Made With The Environment In Mind

This season Foe & Dear has incorporated a new type of jewelry into the mix - cellulose acetate. It’s a raw material made from recycled wood pulp.

Sourced from France, cellulose acetate is a man made fiber - meaning it originates from a renewable material and is biodegradable.

Cellulose acetate is an environmentally friendly option for creating jewelry, rather than a petroleum based material.

Designing a collection that is conscious of our ethical foot print is essential to Foe & Dear.

We enjoy incorporating materials like cellulose acetate to promote ethical jewelry production. It’s important that we’re providing a positive outreach with our work.

Each piece is delicate and handmade. We always recommend taking your jewelry off if you are swimming, gardening, playing sports, cleaning, or moving heavy objects.

Acetate may break if dropped or handled too hard. It is best to avoid wearing your jewelry in high temperatures to protect the shape and durability of the piece.
